Welcome to Gothenburg

Welcome to Gothenburg, the restaurant, café and bar centrally located on Hamilton’s vibrant Hood street. Gothenburg opened on the 15th of September after we, Carl and Susanna, spent four months tearing down an existing bar that didn’t reflect our ideas and then rebuilt it with the essence and atmosphere that we had seen and enjoyed in our travels around the world together.

We have created an environment that we ourselves love to spend time in, and have struck it lucky with all our staff. We are very happy to have such a friendly and talented team who are dedicated to making your time at Gothenburg as enjoyable as possible.

Our influences are many and varied with a Thai and European decor and flavours from around the world influencing our meals. Gothenburg is named after Susanna’s home town in Sweden. Goteborg, as it is called in Swedish, has the beautiful architecture that many of the oldest cities in the world have and it has a very vibrant and colourful people that fill its cobbled streets.
